On April 1 (no joke) the 2015 Peoplesoft Roadshow took place at Kasteel Brasschaet in Brasschaat near Antwerp.
With over 70 attendees a well attended event, where Marc Weintraub opened the roadshow with a question to the audience "IS PEOPLESOFT DEAD?
During the day he learned all people present that the answer to this question is "NO".
Marc.together with Corina Trif showed the audience that there is a lot for PeopleSoft customers to look forward to in the coming period.
On March 24 OBUG organized a great event on Innovation at the Evoluon in Eindhoven.
An inspiring event about gamification, robotification, user experience and customer experience.

Retrospective Real World Performance Tour February 11, 2015The 2nd Real World Performance Tour, which has taken place on February 11 in the Chassé Theatre in Breda (The Netherlands), was once again a great success.Tom Kyte, Andrew Holdsworth and Graham Wood knew to captivate over 150 DBA's, application developers, architects etc. an entire day with their impressive and humorous simultaneous presentation. On 3 large screens the gave an interactive demo using tuning mechanism and tooling to show the opportunities for improvement of the performance of applications, Oracle database, SQL's and Java and how you can get the maximum out of them.In short, a very practical 'training' session where both the visitors as the presenters were very excited about. Also the people who participated already last year have seen many new aspects.We are looking forward to organize the event again next year!
Prior to the “Experience Event”, to be held on March 23, 24 at the Evoluon, Eindhoven (NL) the board would like to get together with the partners for:
- Partner event Monday March 23, 2015 4:00 – 5:30 PM
- Partner Apprecication event Monday March 23,2015 6:00 – 9:00 PM
Besides the mandatory look back the boards wants to discuss with the partners aboutn preserving/expending membership but mainly how to keep serving the user community. Your participation is essential.
The meaning behind the Partner Appreciaton event is to give your input and support the podium it deserves. For 2015 we have chosen a setup where the user community (members) can vote for you in three categories of “Partner of the year”:
- Most valuable partner to the OBUG User Community
- Best Advisory and Consulting partner
- Best Partner for Service: Application, Hosting, Cloud, etc.
As of this moment you are invited to nominate your company for one or more categories. Please state:
- Category/categories you want to nominate your company for,
- Explanation why and how/(user-)cases
- A presentation, poster, banner, work of art, story telling, poetry, moodboard, painting, statue, etc.
For each category three partners will be chosen by the board. These partners will get the opportunity to present themselves at the “Partner Appreciation Event”. You may present yourself with the following means:
Limitation is a 1 cubic metre and a 10 minute timeframe. Humor and orginality are definitely encouraged.
Whether you will nominate yourself or not we still like to meet, greet and talk to you at the Partner event. Please let us know whether you will participate at one or both events. Limitation, as usual, three per registered organisation.
The sponsorletter for the Experience event will be sent seperately and give you more insight in the main event itself including the famous ‘evening before event’ as well as how you ty participate at this event.
Op vrijdag 14 november vond in hotel Van der Valk in Dordrecht de JD Edwards Update 2014 plaats. Met ruim 100 bezoekers was de belangstelling zeer goed te noemen.

In een historische maritieme ambiance op stoomschip De Rotterdam vond op 25 maart de PeopleSoift roadshow plaats.
Marc Weintraub en Jeff Robbins waren wederom present om voor de 3e keer in successie de nabije toekomst te schetsen van de PeopleSoft applicaties en PeopleTools.
